Honey Breeze News

The Hanoverian Winter Auction will be held on January 21 and 22, 2011. I really like to look at these online brochures so that I can see the offspring of various stallions. You can see which stallions are "stampers". Look at the Sir Donnerhalls, Sandro Hits, and Welmeyers.

For anyone who hasn't registered with the Hannoveraner Verban's newsletter, they will send out reminders so you can put these auctions on your calendars.

Once again I have stumbled onto the greatest site! If you want to study different stallions their ancestors and their offspring, then this is a wonderful site for you. Have you ever wondered what, for instance, Sender looked like? Well, you can see a photo of him on this site. The site takes a horse's pedigree back many, many generations with photos of most of the stallions. The mare lines do not have as many photos, but there are some. Also, if you want to study the offspring of a particular stallion or mare you can find them there as well. Lastly, you can add your horses to the data base. It is a really, really nice tool.

For anyone who doesn't know what this is...it is a private auction held each year by Paul Schockemohle and Hof Kasselmann (very well known horsemen) in Ankum (in the state of Lower Saxony) Germany. Here we can see some of the best horse flesh in the world! You really, really should go to their site and see the catalog of the sales horses. They have the BEST format for horse presentation...you'll see.

Here is another auction in the same vein as the P.S.I. auction. Same people, same place. It is held each year in September. Here you will see foals, broodmares, aspiring stallion candidates, and riding horses. The best horses are hand picked from the breeders throughout Germany. Another must see website...and put it on your calendar to watch streaming on the internet.

Here is one of my favorites...Hil*Cat Farm's Willemoes. He is such an athlete. Look at his definition. He has been quite the superstar here in the United States to add to the stardom he brought with him from Europe. Go to www.hilcatfarm.com to see and read more..

Ripline. Here is an exciting NEW stallion...Ripline by the amazing Blue Hors Hotline! He was approved by the Dansk Varmblood. There was much oohing and awing when he was "unveiled". Way to go Mr. Freeman and Sharon.

Stallion Exhibition during the Danish Warmblood Inspection held at Oak Hill Ranch. I have never been to a stallion exhibition. It was thrilling to see these horses up close and personal. It felt like I was in the company of Royalty! Look at this athlete. This is Solos Landtinus now owned by Oak Hill Ranch!

I took my four youngsters to the Danish Warmblood Inspection in Folsom, La. It was hectic in a "fun" sort of way...thanks to all the Oak Hill Ranch staff for helping me to keep my head above water! Each horse is graded by the Dansk Varmblood's team of judges. They use 7 descriptive categories. Each descriptive category receives a score from 1-10.
